Ketchup is not my favorite condiment so I don’t usually get too excited about eating it, but Sir Kensington’s Gourmet Scooping Ketchup actually makes me want to talk about this sweet red sauce. How would I describe it? Well their classic version pretty much tastes like normal ketchup, just a lot better. And then there’s their spiced version, which has the perfect amount of unique flavor and hotness compliments of an infusion of chipotle peppers, cilantro, lime juice, agave nectar, honey, and coriander (sooo delicious on eggs and home fries!). This chart explains so perfectly the difference between Sir Kensington’s classic variety and your usual ketchup:

Aside from the deliciousness, I love the shape of the glass jar and the old fashioned label. It really makes ketchup classier, don’t you think?
Unfortunately, it’s not widely available just yet, but you can purchase it from their shoppe, as well as select boutique grocers.
Let me know if you give it a try or already have!

Happy Weekend everyone!!

/ October 29, 2010Ketchup is a staple in our house…I was happy to see Heinz finally came out with one that has no High Fructose Corn Syrup, in case we’re out of our regular.
I will definitely be trying this one. Have a wonderful weekend!

/ October 29, 2010I’ve also never been a big ketchup fan, probably because most are full of junky things! I’ve been wanting to try these more natural versions for a while, so I might have to check it out these weekend! Thanks!
Have a terrific Halloween weekend! :)

/ November 9, 2010This sounds amazing and can’t wait to try. Since doing that detox last year and reading about how bad ketchup is for you am eager for a “good” one! Even better news – I looked on the website and it looks like our favorite cheese shop – Murray’s Cheese – carries it!!
