Green Tea Face Mask

This is such a simple mask that is excellent for infusing skin with antioxidants and reducing inflammation.

How to:

  • Simply combine the contents of one tea bag of green tea with high quality H20 (for normal skin), whole milk (for sensitive/dry skin), or apple cider vinegar (for oily/blemish-prone).

I saved the bag from a cup of green tea I made earlier (love making something even more useful and beneficial!) and I tried it for the first time last night. While it didn’t create as much of a paste as I hoped, it stayed put and definitely seemed to have a positive affect on my skin after leaving it on for just 5 minutes.

I like to do a face mask AT LEAST 1x or 2x per week. When was the last time you did a face mask?

  10. Haha… I have really dry skin, and masks do wonders for moisturization. Every time I use a mask, I’m reminded of how great it is, and I promptly go out and buy a pack for another one…. and let it sit there for another 6 months until I get around to doing it again. Sad. I need more motivation. I love the green tea idea, though!

  11. Annie I love when you share these things. I do a mask about once a week, but would really like to try anything Green Tree related. I bet it does wonders for the skin!!

Ooooh this sounds perfect. I’ve never ever done a mask before – how much liquid should I be putting in? Do I just rinse off with water?

  19. Good questions :)
So it’s 1 tea bag of green tea + about 1.5 tablespoons of liquid (basically enough to make a paste and no access liquid)
Leave on for 5-10 minutes and rinse with warm water. Nice & simple! xo
