Be Clean & Green

Reusable bags are a great way to bring home groceries and other goodies without producing any trash in the process. However, there’s some things you definitely don’t want to be bringing home with these green carriers – things like E. coli and salmonella. Yikes! Researchers have found these intruders often contaminate reusable cloth bags. One way to prevent this is to wash your bags in hot water regularly, especially after you’ve been carrying fresh produce or raw meat. I like to toss mine in the washer (with hot H20 & detergent) every so often to keep them nice and clean.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I plan on using some reusable bags at the farmers market tomorrow morning :)
