We have really tried to follow this in our new home and let me tell you – it has made SUCH a difference. Getting rid of pointless clutter (aka things that are not functional or joy-producing) is not just visually powerful, but very emotionally powerful as well.
To ponder: Do you have a lot of items around your home that you don’t particularly like or need, but hold onto because you would feel “bad” throwing them out?

/ August 29, 2011I used to keep things around all the time because I felt guilty throwing them out but now I prefer less clutter! I always think you have to get rid of the stuff that you don’t use or need so you can make way for things that you do…xo

/ September 1, 2011I completely believe in this quote too! I think people should feel happy in their home, so anything that doesn’t produce happiness shouldn’t be there!
