Quick Natural Fact: Ginger

Ginger helps relieve:

  • motion sickness
  • migraines
  • high cholesterol
  • arthritis
  • high blood pressure
  • lethal blood clots

Two easy ways to incorporate it into your diet – start  including freshly grated ginger in stir-fries and drinking ginger tea regularly.

  1. I L.O.V.E ginger and use it as often as possible in tea + lemon and stirfries.
It’s a fantastic addition to chicken soup + chilli + garlic as a great anti-viral aid for colds.

PS: I’ve also come to love ginger-haired people as I now have strawberry-blonde and auburn-haired step-children!

  2. my sis in law makes the best Indian style ginger tea…heading to Charlotte to visit this weekend so I am sure I’ll be drinking plenty of ginger tea! do you cook with it? I put it in so many dishes!

  3. I used to be so good about always having ginger root in my apartment to add to things, but that was back when I shopped at the Trader Joe’s in Foggy Bottom and I would always see it. Now that I’m shopping at Whole Foods and Giant in Clarendon I haven’t seen it, although, admittedly, I haven’t really been looking.

I guess I’ll start with the ginger tea and hopefully I’ll spot some fresh ginger at the stores very soon. :)

  4. This is amazing, I knew ginger was good for you, but I had no idea all the great effects. I’m going to start drinking the tea. I did my breathing exercises at work yesterday and it was so helpful! Thanks for the reminder, Annie. Have a great weekend!
