Avocados are some serious skin food with their biotin (forms the basis of healthy skin), as well as their skin (and heart) healthy monounsaturated fats. Monounsaturated fats help provide skin with a natural oil barrier reducing the occurrence of itchy/dry skin.
To keep skin looking healthy and glowing, include avocados in your diet on a regular basis and also remember that they make a perfect, all natural and inexpensive revitalizing skin treatment. This is a quick and easy recipe that I would recommend for all skin types, but especially for dry or sensitive skin.
- 1/2 mashed avocado
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp yogurt
- Wash your face with warm water and pat dry
- Apply a thin layer of the mask to your entire face minus the eye area
- Allow the mask to set for 15 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly with warm H20, and again, pat dry — the key word is “pat” NOT “rub”. Rubbing is abrasive and not a good idea when it comes to your delicate face!
